A Pugulistic Hobo.

The depot was the scene of a merry fracus about 5 o’clock Wednesday morning, in
which men came to blows. It was the case of another overcoat theft. Two men
on their way to Payette from the west while the train was stopped at Huntington
left their seats for a moment leaving an overcoat in them; upon their return
they found it was gone. They notified the trainmen and a watch was kept. When
the train reached Payette one of the trainmen discovered the thief on top of a
car. He was captured and taken into the depot, one man being left to guard him
while the other went for Marshal Walton. Before the marshal could arrive the
hobo engaged the guard in a lively hand-to-hand set-to in which he made his
escape.
