COMPTON-BOAS

It is very inconvenient for the reporter to have the weddings occur just at
the time of going to press. Sometimes the write-ups done in advance lose in
accuracy what they gain in time. The Enterprise however does not intend to
omit mention of so important an event as the Compton-Boas wedding of last week
Thursday.

Mrs. Compton we all know. Mr. Boas came from Curtis, Nebraska. They were
married at the rooms now occupied by Mrs. Bowen, at 4 o'clock, Thursday
October 4th. The immediate friends were the only guests, and Rev. Mr. Reed
officiated. The dinner was served at the Bancroft and no one familiar with
the dining room service that Mrs. Reilly rendered while hostess there, needs
any detail of the dinner after the statement that she left nothing undone to
make it an exquisite meal. Mr. and Mrs. Boas are seeing something of Idaho
before going to their eastern home; which by the way is not only his home for
many years but also is the town where Mrs. Compton went to housekeeping when
she was first a bride. The two families were of the group of newly weds in
the small town, so this marriage has a bit of romance as well as promise of
full happiness, which the Enterprise joins the host of other friends in
wishing them.

Note: According to Payette County Marriage Records, J. E. Boas married
Frances B. Compton on 10-4-1917, Payette. ch
