Popular Young People Married Last Sunday
 
Miss Vallie Beatrice Colwell and Edward Jones were married last Sunday 
afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. 
Colwell, Rev. C. L. Walker officiating, the ring ceremony being used.  The 
bride was daintily gowned in a dress of embroidered organdie and a bridal veil.
 
An elaborate three course dinner was served after the ceremony and the young 
couple left the same evening for a short visit at Home, Oregon.  They will be 
at home to their friends at the O. C. Stout place on Minnesota avenue.
 
The wedding guests were the immediate relatives of the contracting parties and 
were, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Colwell, Mr. and Mrs. Wm Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur 
Colwell, Mr. and Mrs. Dana Jones, Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Stout, of Payette and 
Miss Bethel Colwell.
 
Mr. and Mrs. Jones have a host of friends who extend congratulations and best 
wishes.
 
Note:  According to the Western States Marriage Index, Edward Leroy Jones 
married Vallie Beatrice Colwell on 4-1-1917, Fruitland.  ch
