Windle-Calkins Nuptials

At high noon Wednesday, January 2, Mr. George Windle of Payette and Miss
Jessie Calkins of Kearney, Neb., were united in marriage at the home of the
bride's parents at that place. The bride is a cousin of Colonel L. V. Patch,
who acted as best man. She visited at the home of Colonel Patch several
months last summer.

There were many guests at the wedding, which was quite a society event at
Kearney. Mr. and Mrs. Windle will make their home on Mr. Windle's ranch near
Payette. Before returning they will spend some time on their honeymoon. They
left Kearney for the east and will also visit in California.

The Kearney Democrat says: "Mr. Windle, the groom, is a very prosperous and
successful fruitgrower in the Payette Valley, and the winsome bride has grown
to womanhood in Kearney, where she was born and raised and has a host of
friends whose best wishes will follow her to her home in Idaho, and whose love
and esteem was most substantially evidenced by a large number of beautiful
gifts of cut glass, silver, linen and pictures, which filled one of the upper
rooms, where they were displayed."
