Lineville Headlight
Death of C. K. Alexander. On June 30, 1910, the Death Angel called from the
world one of our most beloved brothers, C. K. Alexander. He was 39 years, 2
months and 12 days of age at the time of his death, had been a member of Banner
Lodge No. 175 K of P for eleven years and was always loyal to the order, and as
long as he could talk. He would talk about how he loved the order of Knights of
Pythias. He was recognized as a man of strict honesty and sterling integrity
wherever he was known. His many friends regret his untimely death very much. The
deceased was unmarried and was taken sick in Oklahoma, with that most dreaded
disease, consumption, and lingered for about eight months and then by aid of the
Knights, he came to Rev. W. H. Preston's home where he passed to the Great
Beyond.
Resolved, 1st That a copy of these resolutions be spread on bur minutes. 2nd.
That a copy be sent to The Headlight for publication. 3rd. That a copy be sent
to his sister at Hugo, Okla, respectfully submitted, C.T. Gregg, E.S. Haynie, H.
C. Willingham.
