Mary Ann Beckrich

Mary Ann Beckrich, 80, a resident of Eagle Creek township for 74 years, 
died at the home of her nephew, Mathias Beckrich, at 9 o'clock Monday 
Night. Miss Beckrich has been in ill health for the past three years 
and confined to her bed for more then two months.  Her death was 
attributed to the infirmities of age.
Born in Schockville, Belgium, January 15, 1857, the sister of the 
late Anton Beckrich, Mary Ann Beckrich came to America in 1863, and 
settled on a farm in Eagle Creek township.
She continued to make her home on the old homestead until the death 
of her parents when she moved to Mathias Beckrich residence to spend 
the remainder of her life.  Her death marks the passing of the last 
member of the family of three sisters and two brothers.
Funersal Services were conducted by the Rev. Father Marks at St. 
Mark's church at 9 o'clock this morning.  Burial was in St. Mark's 
cemetary.  The pallbearers were Lawrence and Joseph Marschall, 
Harold Beckrich, Richard and Gilbert Beckrich and Alois Bauer.
