 Monty Romano Gregoline, 97, of Fort Myers, FL died peacefully on Wednesday, 
December 14, 2011 at the home of his daughter in Virginia. Affectionately 
known as "Doc" to his family and friends, he came to live with his daughter 
for the last three months of his long and wonderful life.
 Doc was born on October 19, 1914 in Harding, West Virginia, one of eight 
children of the late Eugenio Gregoline and Marietta Galassi . He was preceded 
in death by five of his brothers and sisters, as well as by his wife of 62 
years, Barbara Ruth Gregoline, known as Bobbi.
 Doc graduated from the Loyola (Chicago) University, School of Dentistry and 
was licensed in dentistry and orthodontia in the state of Indiana. Shortly 
after graduation he served honorably in the U.S Army/Air Corps stationed in 
Europe during World War II he served as the dentist for his bomb group and 
often spoke with deep affection for the men he served with during the war.
 After WWII, he returned to Gary, Indiana to establish a successful dental 
practive and raise his family. At age 72, Doc and his wife Bobbi moved to Fort 
Myers, FL . 
 Doc is survived by his three daughters and their families, a son and his 
family, a brother and his wife, a sister, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-
grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
