 Oscar F. Bonnell, 87, of Cape Coral, FL passed away on December 7, 2011. He 
was born November 6, 1924, in Allen County, OH to Vada (Stover) and Leonard 
Bonnell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved 
wife, Betty (Chapman), brothers Leroy and Raymond Bonnell, and sisters, Mabel 
Bonnell and Lila B. Bragg. Left to cherish is memory  are his daughter and her 
family, two grandchildren,and a brother.
 Oscar was a 1942 graduated of Lima Central High School and held a degree in 
Electrical Engineering from Ohio Northern University. He was a proud WWII U.S 
Navy veteran serving aboard the USS Breeman in the Atlantic. He had a long 
career in sales and industrial development with the Pennsylvania Railroad and 
Con-Rail. Oscar was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Araba Shriners, The 
Elks, The American Legion and Port Charlotte united Methodist Church.
 Oscar was also a long-time volunteer at Fawcett Hhospital in Port Charlotte, 
Fl. 
 There will be a celebration of his life for family and friends. Burial of his 
cremains will be held at East Side Cemetery, Cairo, OH at a later time.
