Mrs. Willie Crow-Brown Died Monday

Mrs. Willie Crow Brown, wife of Mr. R. Dillard Brown of the Starrs Bridge 
community, died Monday March 25th after an illness of fourteen days with 
paralysis. She was 54 years old.

Mrs. Brown was born in the community in which she died, being before marriage to 
Mr. Brown, July 28, 1907, Miss Willie Crow, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. 
Alfred Crow. 

Mrs. Brown was a faithful Christian being a member of the Liberty Baptist church 
for many years. She always took an active part in her church as long as health 
permitted. She made friends easily, and hundreds of them are grieved at her 
passing.

Funeral services were held at Liberty church Tuesday, March 26, with Rev. Spence 
Phillips officiating. A large crowd attended the funeral. Pallbearers were: 
Lawrence Brown, Bobbi Brown, Dwain Brown, L.B. Brown, Marshall Massey, and 
Eldridge Atkinson. Flower girls were Ruth Phillips, Dorothy Crow, Mary Ann 
Atkinson, Dot Bray, Frances Bailey, Josephine Dawkins, Polly Martin.

She is survived by her husband, and the following children; L.B., Nellie, Blanche, 
Bobbie, Dwayne, Lawrence, Mrs. Agatha Hearn, Rachel and Remelle Brown, all of 
Carnesville; sisters, Mrs. Bessie Dawkins, Canon, Mrs. H.T. Atkinson, Mrs. Fred 
Massey, Carnesville, Mrs. Willard Rowland, Anderson, S.C., Mrs. Ludy Haley, 
Royston; brothers, E.J. Crow, Royston, Grady Crow, Carnesville, Goldman Crow, 
Royston.

B.D. Ginn, funeral director, was in charge of arrangements.
