RURAL DAYTONITES GREETED ON GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hollenbaugh of Dayton R.D. 1 entertained at a dinner for 150
relatives and friends in observance of their fiftieth wedding anniversary. The
dinner was held in the academy of the Glade Run Presbyterian church, Dayton.
The honor table was decorated with yellow candles, yellow flowers, and was
centered with a four-tier wedding cake that had a topping of a gold wreath,
inscribed 'Golden Wedding'. Other tables were decorated with yellow candles
  and flowers.

The late Rev. George W. McIntyre, D.D., united in marriage Miss Maude Beatty
and Frank Hollenbaugh on September 22, 1898, in the parsonage of the Glade Run
  church.
Mr. and Mrs. Hollenbaugh have resided on a farm near Dayton during most of

Vandergrift, Mrs. Frank Northrup of Conneaut, Ohio, Mrs. Lewis Walker of Dayton,
and Margaret Hollenbaugh of Vandergrift. The Hollenbaughs also have 18

For the anniversary occasion, the bride-of-fifty years chose a green dress and
black accessories. She complemented her frock with a corsage of yellow roses,
tied with gold ribbon. The couple was presented with many lovely gifts.
On Saturday evening, September 25, Mr. and Mrs. Hollenbaugh were guests at a
family dinner given in their honor, with covers laid for 42 guests. Included on
the guest list were Rev. Thoburn Stull, present pastor of the Glade Run church,
and Mrs. Stull, the Hollenbaugh's eight children, 14 grandchildren and five
  great-grandchildren.
The 'U' shaped dinner table was decorated with yellow candles, yellow flowers,
yellow and white place card favors and two triple-tiered wedding cakes. One
was topped with a miniature bride and groom and the other with a white satin
bow trimmed in gold sequins spelling out 50 years. One cake was baked by a
granddaughter, Mrs. Theodore Trudgeon of Kittanning. Mrs. Hollenbaugh wore a
corsage of yellow pompons, tied with gold ribbon. Her seven daughters, also
Mrs. Arthur Hollenbaugh and Mrs. Stull wore corsages of yellow camellias, tied
with gold ribbon. After dinner a short talk was given by Rev. Stull."
