In 1938 he moved to Columbus & worked for Bill Earl Motors & the Frisco Railroad. Worked for the Gulf Plant in Riverton KS as a printer for 22 yrs. Later he worked for the American Legion & VFW both in Columbus. On 2-19-1941 he served in the 43rd Engineers at Camp Robinson in Little Rock Ark. Later in the Army Air Corp-2nd Aircraft Repair Unit in he South Pacific. Iwo Jima on D-Day plus -4 & he remained there until he was shipped back to the states. Preceded in death by his parents; 8 brothers, Glen, Orville, Lisle, Lee, Charles, Harold, Robert & Dale; 3 sisters, Fern, Lula Crumrine-Reid & Mary; one foster sister, Mary Hoover |
