Wells Ranch aka Kerber Creek Ranch Cemetery
This small family cemetery is located on the left hand side of County Road 56 (the road to Bonanza) about a mile west of US-285 near Villa Grove. The fenced in area contains six graves. Mr. George Woodard, local historian, told us that it is maintained by the highway department at his request and contains the graves of children who died on the Wells Ranch in the middle 1880s. None of the markers survive but you can still make out the individual graves. These would have been the children of Joseph H. Wells and Mary Roach Wells. - Sharon Wells Mayer
