Elk Mountain Cemetery, in rural Routt County is located several miles NW of Steamboat Springs. Turn north off of US Highway 40 onto County Road 44 and go about 5 miles; you can see the sign on a small hill near the road on the south side of the road. There is a small sign that proclaims this to be Colorado Historical Site #5RT792.
