Rockland Cemetery
Golden, Jefferson County

Rockland Cemetery was established in 1880 and is situated behind the
Rockland Community Church on Rockland Road. The first burial, according to
gravestone inscriptions appears to have been in 1881. The cemetery is
located on Lookout Mountain at the mouth of Mount Vernon Canyon. |
To get there go west on Interstate 70 (I-70) from Denver to the Lookout
Mountain exit #256. Turn left on Highway 40 and continue west for 1.4
miles. Turn left on Rockland Road and triavel a distance of .3 mile. The
Rockland Community Church will be on your left and the cemetery is located
behind the building. (MAP) |
